TRIANGLE is one of the oldest and most widely used symbols. Pointed downward, it is an ancient symbol known to represent the genitalia of a goddess, femininity, the womb. The upward triangle can represent masculine properties, ambition and rising up. F O C U S. Being 3 sided, it is connected to the number three which can represent true wisdom, or universal truth. It is often used to convey the idea of a trinity, or a state of being three-in-one. It can represent different forms of a trinity, for example the body-mind-spirit connection. Awake. Aware. Alive.
CIRCLE the center point of focus, too, has inexhaustible references, meanings + uses. Universal, sacred and divine, our use of the circle represents totality, wholeness, original perfection. Unaffected. All inclusive. Cosmic unity. Oneness. The sun, the moon, the earth and all orbital energetic bodies that be. The halo. We also see the circle as the all embracing feminine, the womb from which we all sprung. The golden sun of pure love who’s rays we can open to daily. Circles were protective emblems to the Celtic mind. Often drawn as protective boundaries, not to be crossed by enemy or evil. Circles symbolize the expansive nature of the entire cosmos, or the intangible procession of time.
T O G E T H E R the feminine, as the seat of creation (FLOW), is guided by the or exists inside of the protective structure provided by the masculine (FOCUS). They both need each other to be fully expressed. Not for survival. Both can survive, merely live, yet without the balanced support + expression of the other, each will not be fully expressed, realized, nor will thrive. We believe the feminine is to be sanctified, protected and expanded through focused intentions.
S A N C T I F Y the feminine aspect: bless, make holy, make sacred, cleanse, purify, heal. Sanctifying the feminine aspect is done internally, individually, through establishing + nurturing a connection to self, spirit + our senses through daily rituals of devotional focus, and intentions that live through our actions.
This is our intention, our prayer to the universe. And so it is!
